    they didnt work for you???? i got a cover plate door knob similar to this one and had a painter knife lying around and it knocked the side plate off perfectly…..i got the door knob off completely using this tip…your door might not be perfect to this one, so use some common sense as well…thanks for the tip…usually expert village tips are horrible, but this one actually worked.

    Thank you! This helped me remove my old door knob and replace it using the reverse knowledge gained from the removal process. I feel happy that I can lock my room again whenever I am out.
